of the Artists Union of Kazakhstan
ART: FOR EVERYBODY
On the territory of the ALMATY ARENA stadium, in the building of Almaty Art Center – at the initiative of the sculpture section of the Artists Union of Kazakhstan, opened the exhibition of works by Kazakh sculptors. It is dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the country's first creative Union. This full-scale exhibition is held for the first time since Independence.
The exhibition presented the project "Art for everybody!".
It is implemented in the framework of the international day of disabled people, which the whole world celebrates on December 3. The aim of the project: to enable people with disabilities to gain access to the fine arts.
Summary of the project:
The project involves blind people and people with healthy vision who have expressed a desire to walk with a white cane on the tactile paths that will be installed in the exhibition space, to works of art.
During the exhibition" SCULPTURE of KAZAKHSTAN " blind people are given the opportunity to tactfully feel the aesthetics and artistic expression of works and thus to know their shape, texture, material, idea and meaning. To do this, the Artists Union of Kazakhstan undertakes to find the opportunity and make miniature copies of famous monuments of Kazakhstan and other countries, embossed copies of the world's masterpieces of painting and painting of Kazakhstan. The authors of works and art critics of the Union of artists will help to understand and feel the aesthetic and artistic language of the object.
